Photography has always been important to me, but has become increasingly important to me this past year. Surpassing the common goal of taking good photos, treating people well, and making a living- this year felt like so much more than that. While you scroll through my page, you will see lots of smiles, snuggles, kisses, laughs, and seemingly "perfectly" happy pictures. But what you don't see is the story behind every single family and person within the image. You don't see the heartache in their current situation. You don't see the bittersweet moments of celebrating and grieving life in the same moment. A lost loved one, an unborn child, a heartache, a missing piece-- all building blocks of your story.

This business has constantly reminded me that everybody is going through their own battle. And while life has its way of throwing curve balls, none of them take the Lord by surprise. He will make all things beautiful in time. I keep coming back to parts of Ecclesiastes 3 when thinking of my business, the work that I do, the people I've met, and the stories I've captured this year:

There is a time for everything and a season for everything under heaven.

A time to weep and a time to laugh.

A time to mourn and a time to dance.

A time for everything.

And the Lord will make ALL things beautiful in time.

I'm not sure why I keep coming back to this when thinking of something as simple as photographs, but I do. I continually think of the stories my clients have shared with me, some full of celebration, some bittersweet, some heartbreak, and they welcomed me in and trusted me to capture the beauty within their story.

I'm thankful for this opportunity and I truly hold each and every one of your stories close. My goal is to do more than just take pictures. I aim to value you and your story more than ever, getting to know who you are and praying for each and every one of you. Celebrating & mourning alongside of you.
